Travis Boak - 6
More or less smothered by Docker Ryan Crowley in the opening half but somehow managed to work his way into the contest to have an impact in the victory.
Matthew Broadbent – 7
Provided the side great attacking drive as per usual, finishing with five inside 50s. Clean in possession and managed a goal assist.
Alipate Carlile - 8
Kept Matthew Pavlich goalless in the first half under enormous pressure from Fremantle's relentless attack. Continued his terrific work in the second half to nullify Pav's influence.
Kane Cornes - 5
Played on Stephen Hill but couldn't contain him for the most part. Finished with 15 possessions to his opponents' 26.
Brad Ebert - 5
Below his best, but his tackling pressure remained where it needed to be. Players of Ebert's calibre don't stay down for long, so expect him to bounce back in next week's preliminary final.
Great performance again from the ever-reliable midfielder, who was an absolute menace at stoppages with seven clearances. Easily had the better of his opponents and finished with a game-high 33 disposals.
Jack Hombsch - 7
Stood up in defence in the absence of Tom Jonas, taking seven marks. He was also able to hurt the Dockers on the attack, driving the ball inside 50 five times.
Tom Jonas - 2
Looked in good touch early after a great game last week and took five marks before suffering a knock to his back in the second quarter. Subbed out of the game at half-time.
Matthew Lobbe - 6
Struggled to win his share of the ball against the awesome power of Aaron Sandilands, but battled manfully all night. Managed to win the ruck battle when Sandilands rested and laid plenty of tackles.
The small forward's pressure inside forward 50 was important throughout the entire game. He kicked a goal, set up another and laid four tackles.
Andrew Moore - 4
Subbed into the game at half-time, Moore was serviceable but didn't impact the game. Used his big body well at stoppages though with three clearances.
Jake Neade - 6
Did really well to lift his game in the second half after barely getting a touch in the first. Managed to provide some valuable run through the middle and into attack after half-time.
After a quiet first half, Jake Neade had a massive impact in the second half. Picture: AFL Media
Cam O'Shea - 6
Recovered from a poor start to make some important spoils throughout the night, one in particular late in the game that could have resulted in a Fremantle goal had he failed. Clean with his ball use too.
Jasper Pittard - 7
Great display from the left-footer; barely missed a target all night and provided terrific run on the transition from defence to attack. He took seven marks and had a team-high five one per centers.
Jared Polec - 6
Burnt the ball a bit early but, like so many of his teammates, lifted to another level in the second half. Tackled ferociously and capped his night with a nice goal.
Jay Schulz - 4
Didn't receive great delivery, but failed to have his usual influence on the contest. Zac Dawson was all over him all night, although he kicked the sealer late and set up two others.
Jackson Trengove - 6
Smashed in the ruck but had the better of Zac Clarke in defence and then was moved forward by coach Ken Hinkley. Not Trengove's best game by any means, but certainly not his worst.
Justin Westhoff - 7
Well held by Garrick Ibbotson early, but he really got on top in the second half. Took 12 marks in a terrific aerial display and provided good offensive drive as well.
Matt White - 6
Courageous from White to play with a cracked cheekbone, but wasn't quite up to his usual standard. Still ran hard and, importantly, nailed a crucial goal in the fourth term.
Ollie Wines - 9
A spectacular game from the second-year player. He was a beast at the contest with seven clearances and seven inside-50s and booted three massive goals too.
Chad Wingard - 9
A ridiculous clutch goal late in the game capped another incredible game from this young star. He oozed class in critical moments and finished with four majors.
The coach
Ken Hinkley – 9
Didn't panic when it looked as though Fremantle might blow his side out of the water early. Stuck to his guns and manned up loose man Tendai Mzungu in the second half, which helped his side turn the tide. Also moved Chad Wingard up onto the wing in the third quarter to get his star into the game. It worked a treat and Wingard proved a match-winner.
