ADELAIDE coach Scott Camporeale has sounded a warning to the top eight, insisting his side has what it takes to shake up what's already looming as an unpredictable September.
The Crows overcame a slow start to race home against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night, rag-dolling the visitors in the second and fourth terms to score an 87-point win.
It comes on the back of the club's 112-point win over Essendon last weekend.
Five talking points: Adelaide v Brisbane Lions
The club's forward line was dominant, its defence strong and its midfield productive.
The Crows played with savage grace; Camporeale said such brutality was a prerequisite for successful teams.
"Part of being an AFL player is having that [ruthless] streak in you – you look at all the quality teams that have played in finals and won premierships, they've got that streak in them," he said.
"The way Talia's playing, Laird's playing his role down back, the pressure that we're putting on in the forward line and our midfield's been pretty consistent for most of the year.
"The recipe's there, the ingredients are there so it's just about how far we can go now."
While the Crows beat-up a young and injury-plagued Lions outfit, it was a performance driven by their own youth.
Rory Atkins, Rory Laird, Matt Crouch and Riley Knight were all influential, and were just four of 10 players 23 years of age or younger.

The club now faces West Coast next week and then a clash against Geelong that, barring upsets, will likely decide eighth spot.
Camporeale was confident his inexperienced players could keep performing in big games.
"Once again we had [six] guys under 23 years of age today, so that's exciting for us and they're playing the style of footy that we want them to play," he said.

"They're getting reward for effort…that's the best form of reinforcement.
"The game doesn't know how old you are…they're playing their role and they're performing at a high level.
"They know where they're at, as we keep saying we've got to earn the right to get there and we've just got to keep winning.
"Next week we're up against the top-two team (Eagles) that's going to really challenge us and show us where we're at, so we're looking forward to it."
