IT WAS business as usual for Dustin Martin at Richmond training on Friday morning but fellow Tigers young gun Ben Lennon is facing an extended period away from the track.
Martin, 24, trained alongside his teammates and in front of a crowd of around 100 supporters at Punt Road ahead of their week-long Queensland training camp that starts on Sunday.
The Tigers are bound for Palm Cove for six nights, with Martin to take part in the heat-training segment of their pre-Christmas training block.
It became known on Thursday the AFL asked Victoria Police to investigate allegations surrounding Martin and an alleged chopstick stab threat towards a female diner in Windsor on Saturday night.
He trained without incident on Friday despite the latest revelation that could delay the handing down of any potential sanctions from either the League or the club for some time.
Meanwhile, Lennon won't head to Palm Cove after coming down with glandular fever.
The 20-year-old, who has played 16 games since being drafted with the Tigers' first pick in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft, has been pulled out of training to recover from the infectious and debilitating viral infection.
The Tigers hope he'll be fit to return to the club when the players come back from their Christmas break on Monday, January 4.
Lennon aside, the Tigers are relatively blessed when it comes to the number of players currently in the rehabilitation group.
Forward Jack Riewoldt isn't yet involved in contact training after minor off-season shoulder surgery but ran laps on Friday and looked a trimmed-down picture of fitness.
He was joined by recent recruits Jacob Townsend, who is coming back from an ankle injury, and Chris Yarran, whose program is conditioning based at this stage.
Townsend is expected to take part in all of next week's training program.
Ruckman Shaun Hampson won't ramp things up until the New Year after ankle surgery but is back running, while youngster Corey Ellis is training well after an injury-interrupted debut season.
