THE SYDNEY Swans have set a membership record, just two weeks out from their opening round clash against Essendon at ANZ Stadium.
Last year the Swans broke the 40,000 mark for the first time in their history, recording a club-high 40,126 members.
This year that figure has already been surpassed before the start of the season.
"It is going to be an exciting season and it all begins on Easter Saturday at ANZ Stadium," Sydney Swans chief executive Andrew Ireland said.
"The players can't wait for the footy to start again and our fans are clearly excited for 2015.
"We are particularly buoyed by the rise in our junior membership base and we have no doubt we will push capacity at many of our home games this season, making signing up as a member even more important."
The Swans play their final NAB Challenge game on Sunday against cross-town rivals Greater Western Sydney in Canberra.
