ONCE again it was all about Rocky this weekend as he demonstrated why he is a class above the rest. On the flipside, a couple of popular trade targets let their coaches down in the second last round of the Fantasy season.

Fantasy Pig

Although there is little point nominating a player who has already been crowned a snout, it is important that aspiring Pigs learn and understand the criteria. Firstly, Tom Rockliff (MID) is averaging almost 140 since returning from injury, which automatically places a player in the 'must have' bracket if you are serious about winning finals. This week, the popular captain choice was in beast mode against the Bombers with 38 touches, 12 marks, nine tackles and a goal on his way to a round-high 179. After receiving 'fat' and 'selfish' taunts over the last two weeks, the champ was always going to respond this way and proved once and for all that not all Pigs are fat.

Honourable mention: Jack Steven (MID) looks set for a huge Fantasy Finals series, with plenty of games at ES and of course, red hot form! He was at it again under the roof on Saturday night, finding the ball at will with 39 touches, six marks, seven tackles and a goal for 145. Make him a high priority if you don't have him.

Fantasy Prestigiacomo

After averaging over 100 in his last three weeks, Luke Hodge (DEF/MID) was one of the most traded in players on the back receiving defender status. Unfortunately, he only played 67 per cent game time and spent the majority of the last quarter on the bench in what has since been described as leg cramps. During his time on ground, he was uncharacteristically quiet with just 15 touches and two marks. Assuming it was just cramping, he should be huge this week at Aurora to make up for it.

Honourable mention: Tom Mitchell (MID) has been nominated a number of times in the past for Pig status, but unfortunately it is performances like this that make it little more than a dream. He had a shocker against the Blues with just two kicks among his 23 possessions and no marks. That's right, no marks in 75 per cent of the game. Very disappointing, Tom.

• Who fired for your club in this weekend's state leagues?

Piglet

We have been waiting for it all year, and it finally came in the form of a late withdrawal. Sam Menegola (MID) made his long-awaited debut for the Cats and he didn't disappoint with 26 touches, five marks and five tackles for 100. He is a great downgrade option this week.

• Nine things we learned from round 18

Fantasy Mailbag

JW as the other two are more consistent scorers.

It is a fine line, as I found out with Hodgey this week. You can't predict injuries, but need to look at their team position and the draw eg. The likelihood of someone like Matty Boyd resting in the last week vs Freo is higher than Kade Simpson having a week off.

Both great, but I am going to say Monty for the games under the roof.

As frustrating as it is, I think we do.
