SUPERSTAR Cat Patrick Dangerfield says nerves aren't a problem as he prepares to play finals as the runaway Brownlow Medal favourite.

Fielding fans' questions in a light-hearted video Q&A after the 2016 Virgin Australia AFL All Australian Awards on Thursday night, Dangerfield told host Matthew Richardson he "can't wait" to wear the medal around his neck.

"You can't (say) that, can you?" Dangerfield added.

Dangerfield earned his fourth All Australian nomination after being named on the ball alongside teammate Joel Selwood, who was named 2016's All Australian captain.

Was the former Crow feeling the nerves ahead of the Brownlow count later this month?

"Not really," he said.

"I think most players go in there with really no expectation.

"If it happens, it happens. But to be totally honest we've got far bigger fish to fry down at the Cats. So the focus is on that and whatever comes, comes."

The Cats face Hawthorn in the second qualifying final next Friday night, while Dangerfield's former team Adelaide hosts North Melbourne in an elimination final 24 hours later.

Dangerfield paid tribute to ex-teammate Rory Sloane, who earned the All Australian vice-captaincy after a stellar season for the Crows.

"Its a wonderful achievement," Dangerfield said.

"To be vice-captain, it's thoroughly deserved. You wouldn't meet too many better blokes than Sloaney, so it's good to be in the same team again."
