GEELONG coach Chris Scott is confident the Cats can play just as well away from Simonds Stadium after three impressive wins at the venue in successive weeks.
The Cats recorded wins over top-eight contenders the Western Bulldogs, Port Adelaide and Adelaide after losing twice at the MCG in rounds six and eight and at Metricon Stadium in round seven.
They have become much better defensively at their home ground but Scott said there was no room for complacency in such an even competition.
"At the half-way point of the season we are just among a group of teams that are fighting and scrapping to finish as high as we possibly can," Scott said after a comfortable 22-point win over the Crows on Friday night.
The Cats have a bye before heading to Perth to play West Coast on a Friday night with Scott saying the break was welcome.
"The breather this week will be good for us," he said.

After another brilliant performance from skipper Joel Selwood, the coach said it was worth remembering how fortunate they were to be able to watch Selwood and Patrick Dangerfield at their prime.
Scott conceded that while it was impossible to stop his fearless captain from putting himself in positions most players would shy away from, Selwood was still causing him a few worries.
"There is such a thing as going into contests where you shouldn't," Scott said.
"I don't think that was the case with Joel tonight but is hard to coach young players to do some of the things that he does and I am not sure that we should. But by the same token I'm not sure we can coach it out of him."
