THURSDAY night footy once again provided us with a loophole captain after the newly snouted Pig Tom Mitchell scored 118, which included an uncustomary quiet last quarter. That score felt very safe and respectable but after the weekend was completed, captain hindsight said we should have taken the punt on a higher scorer after some players got the memo that we need something special. Unfortunately, not all players got the memo, and many popular rookies choked up with the added responsibility and turned in horrendous scores.

Fantasy pig
Dustin Martin take a bow. What an absolute legend! In a week of need, the big fella stepped up and dominated against the Roos, putting on a clinic with 38 possessions, eight marks, six tackles and two goals for a round-high 164. He certainly earned a week off and saved a lot of coaches from disaster.
• Six things we learned from round 11
Honourable mention: Josh Kelly has been on many coaches' radar and he certainly rewarded the ones on board with a whopping 159. The million-dollar man not only lived up to that label, he made that figure look 'unders'. Kelly continued his outstanding form with 38 touches, five marks, 10 tackles and a goal.
Rage trades
Robbie Gray was a popular trade in this week as he ticked a few boxes. Nice matchup at home against the Hawks, completed his bye, has been hitting the scoreboard, dirt cheap and just the fact it's Robbie Gray for goodness sake. Well, trade him straight back out. He did hit the scoreboard again with a goal, and believe it or not, that was part of his total score of 38.
Honourable mention: Unfortunately, Dyson Heppell's biggest highlight was his filthy look at Brendon Goddard at half-time. He only managed 77 from 23 touches and one tackle and with a bye approaching, some coaches may reverse this one, especially as they scramble to get Tom Rockliff back in.
Piglet
Our little piglet Hugh Greenwood was at it again in a very hostile environment down at the Cattery. He wasn't fazed at all, collecting 18 possessions and continuing his elite tackling with a game-high 18 tackle attempts and 11 successfully laid on his way to 94. Gun.

I really like the look of Newnes for that price! The only reason he is so cheap is due to being knocked out on 10 two games ago!

Love it, and I love Simpson but Newnes deserves consideration now. For more, follow myself @RoyDT
