DEMON fans have vented their frustration at their team's rollercoaster performances so far in season 2017.
Giving their mid-season verdict on the Dees in an AFL.com.au survey, Melbourne fans tipped their side to push on to play finals but identified 'brain fades' against weaker opposition as one of the club's major concerns.
Adelaide and St Kilda were among the Demons' five scalps before their bye, but Simon Goodwin's side also lost at home to Fremantle and the struggling Hawks and Kangaroos.
Goodwin earned the tick of approval from 94 per cent of fans.
Second-year dynamo Clayton Oliver is another clear success story. Oliver made AFL.com.au's team of mid season All Australians and earned almost three quarters of supporters' votes for Melbourne's best performer.
Here are the full survey results, plus a selection of Demon fans' views.
It'll be a good year for the Demons if ...
We make finals, nothing less.
- Pat Reid, Geelong Vic
We bring the same intensity to games we're favoured to win that we deliver when we're underdogs.
- McKenzie Alexander, Footscray Vic
We learn from the repeated brain fades and use this to grow in future seasons.
- Kyle Debernardi, Mornington Vic
We make finals and have Jesse Hogan back before the end of the season.
- Jonah Pisevski, Bendigo Vic
Clayton Oliver wins the Brownlow.
- Maverick Hamilton, Thornlie WA
We don't let North Melbourne beat us for a 16th time.
- David Noonan, Brisbane Qld
