The 19-year-old, who has played 13 AFL games, the most recent of them in round 12, had 32 possessions, laid seven tackles and kicked four goals in a superb all-round display.
He was well supported in the midfield by Aiden Bonar (24 possessions and 12 clearances) and Nick Shipley (27 and eight clearances), while Adam Kennedy (23) was serviceable.

Young key forward Sam Weideman has given Melbourne selectors plenty to think about after bagging seven goals for the Casey Demons in their 77-point win over Coburg in the VFL on Saturday.
Rain made the going slippery at Casey Fields, making Weideman's sure hands and straight kicking all the more impressive.
He was well serviced by the likes of Billy Stretch (27 possessions – 18 of them in the first half – and two goals), Jay Kennedy-Harris (27 and one goal) and Tom Bugg (27).
Speedy forward Jeff Garlett kicked one goal in his bid to return to AFL level.
