GOLD Coast co-captain Tom Lynch will have surgery on his injured knee in Melbourne next Tuesday.
Lynch was ruled out for the rest of the 2018 season almost two weeks ago after the recurrence of a posterior cruciate ligament injury.
The restricted free agent missed the final three games of 2017 and three more earlier this season with the same injury before finally succumbing after playing Hawthorn in round 14.

Lynch will see renowned orthopaedic surgeon Professor Julian Feller.
The surgery was delayed as Lynch had some scratches on his knee that needed to heal first.
Lynch is at the centre of much speculation about his future, with the key forward being courted by a number of teams including Hawthorn, Richmond and Collingwood.
ANALYSIS Should Lynch stay or go?
Lynch recently told the club's website he was in no rush to decide.
"Post-surgery I’m sure the time will come where I’ll sit down with my manager and work through what the best option going forward is," he said.
