Eric Hipwood, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with Striking Jake Lloyd, Sydney Swans, during the second quarter of Round Seven match between the Brisbane Lions and the Sydney Swans, played at The Gabba on Saturday May 4.

Incidents assessed: Contact between West Coast Eagles' Shannon Hurn and Gold Coast Suns' Josh Corbett in the first quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. The ball is handballed in the direction of player Corbett. Player Hurn moves to intercept the ball. In the process of taking possession of the ball Hurn makes high contact with Corbett. It was the view of the MRO that Hurn was contesting the ball and had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball. No further action was taken.
Contact between North Melbourne's Cameron Zurhaar and Carlton's Liam Jones in the third quarter of Sunday's match was assessed. The ball was kicked into the forward fifty for North Melbourne. Zurhaar moves to mark the ball and simultaneously Jones runs backwards with the flight of the ball. A head-clash occurs between Jones and Zurhaar. It was the view of the MRO that Zurhaar’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances. No further action was taken.
Contact between North Melbourne's Tarryn Thomas and Carlton's Tom Williamson in the fourth quarter of Sunday's match was assessed. Williamson takes possession of the ball and is immediately tackled by Thomas. It was the view of the MRO that Thomas' tackle was not unreasonable in these circumstances. No further was taken.
