Early prognosis
Seedsman and Douglas could return to football as early as next week. Seedsman hyperextended his knee in the round three loss to Geelong, while Douglas suffered an ankle injury in the season-opening loss to Hawthorn. After such long layoffs, both would need a run in the SANFL before being considered for senior selection. Jacobs and Milera are also on track to be back within the next three weeks. Second-year defender McPherson – who has struggled with hamstring, groin and back injuries since joining the Crows at the end of 2017 – will return next week, with the Crows' SANFL team having a bye this weekend. - Lee Gaskin

Early prognosis
Adams will miss at least a month with a groin tendon problem but important big man Cox could return against Carlton at the MCG on Saturday. The Pies could also welcome back five other players with Mayne and Aish outside chances to play at AFL level while Sier, Crocker and Appleby would add to the depth to the club's VFL side. Murphy and Tyler Brown are nearing returns, while Scharenberg is a little further off as he comes back from a third knee reconstruction. The season seems over for veteran Dunn after a second anterior cruciate ligament rupture in nine months. - Ben Collins

Essendon is counting on Fantasia to be back from the virus that has ruled him out the past two weeks. Early prognosis
Selwood is in a race against time after missing last week's over Essendon with soreness. A decision is expected to be made later in the week on his place in the line-up. Ratugolea was released from hospital with no serious damage but will be monitored this week with concussion. Sent for scans on Monday, Dangerfield will need to prove his fitness after landing awkwardly on his knee, the Cats confident he had escaped structural damage. Kreuger was stretchered off with concussion in the VFL and will be a test. Bews will line up in the VFL in the next fortnight as his rehab from osteitis pubis reaches an end, while Fogarty is touch-and-go for this week. Tuohy has been given the green light after he was a late out against the Bombers. - Mitch Cleary

The Giants could have Kelly, Davis and Whitfield available if they get through training on Thursday, with Davis the least likely of that trio. Corr looks set to miss at least one game, but Kennedy should have recovered in time to face the Hawks. Brett Deledio (calf) is available but the Giants NEAFL team has a bye and he's unlikely to come straight back into the AFL side, so he's a chance to return next week. - Adam Curley

Early prognosis
Thompson didn't play in the second half of the Roos' 10-goal victory over Carlton, but that was at least partly precautionary, with the match well in hand. McDonald will look to join 'Scooter' in defence this week after being a late withdrawal last week, while McKay's horror run continued when he hurt a quad at training. He's been out with pneumonia and a toe problem before that. In VFL ranks, Tyson suffered a calf recurrence and Scott sustained concussion from a first-half tackle. Murphy is closing in on a return after three weeks on the sidelines. - Marc McGowan

He is expected to return after the mid-season bye. Ebert has been ruled out of Saturday night's Showdown with concussion, while Jonas will miss a third straight game with a calf strain. Star forward Gray is listed to be back from a broken hand for the Power's round 11 clash with St Kilda in Shanghai. Dixon is increasing his training loads and has returned to running on grass after having a couple of setbacks in his return from a serious leg injury. There's still no timeline on his return other than the second half of the season. Watts has his leg in a moonboot and is unlikely to play this year, while Hayes is close to his return from a torn ACL. - Lee Gaskin

Early prognosis
Richmond's ever-growing injury list has seen classy forward Rioli and integral intercept defender Vlastuin join its ranks, with the pair a 50-50 chance to play this weekend. Rioli has been battered from pillar to post over the past few weeks, suffering a number of corkies to his thigh and then copping a knock to the ribs against the Dogs. Vlastuin's rolled ankle doesn't appear to be to severe, while fellow back Astbury is a test to return for the trip across to play Fremantle. Young key forward Moore has a small fracture and ligament and tendon damage in his ankle, and needs to consult a surgeon before a timeframe is set.- Sarah Black

Papley copped a heavy knock against Brisbane last week in a courageous marking contest but should be right to play the Bombers. Menzel is on track to play his first game in Swans colours in Saturday's NEAFL clash with Sydney University and should play 40-60 minutes of game time. Cunningham could miss two months of footy with his torn adductor. Smith had another surgery on Tuesday to try and overcome his struggles with his hamstring. - Adam Curley
