VICTORIAN clubs have contacted Bradley Hill's management about the Docker's playing future since his comments on Perth radio last week about his homesick girlfriend.

Hill's manager, Colin Young, of Corporate Sports Australia, confirmed to AFL.com.au on Thursday that there was interest in the star midfielder, who is contracted at Fremantle until 2021.

However, recent talk linking Hill with a return this year to Hawthorn, where he played in three premierships from 2013-15, was off the mark, Young said.

The 25-year-old is averaging a career-high 24.6 disposals, to go with almost 480 metres gained and 6.1 score involvements per game.

"I've heard the rumours and media innuendo, but we've had absolutely no discussion with Hawthorn … he won't get there," Young said.

"I have had discussions with clubs to find out where Brad sits, based on those Hawthorn rumours, but all it is is light discussion.

"It's not really important which clubs I've spoken to at this point."

Hill also referred to the reports linking him to the Hawks as "rumours", but admitted his Melbourne-raised girlfriend was missing home.

"My missus is from Melbourne and we haven't really had that chat," Hill told 6PR radio about a potential return to Victoria.

"Obviously, she gets homesick every now and then, but she does spend a fair bit of time back home in Melbourne.

"She hasn't come up to me and said, 'We need to go home', but obviously she gets homesick every now and then."

It is believed St Kilda, Geelong and Melbourne are among the clubs in the market for more speed and are keeping a close eye on Hill's situation.

Hill's 29-year-old brother, Stephen, is an unrestricted free agent and has drawn strong interest from Gold Coast.
