ST KILDA is preparing to offer Fremantle midfielder Brad Hill up to $900,000 a season.
The Saints have targeted the three-time Hawthorn premiership player and 2017 Dockers' best and fairest winner since it became known he would seek a return to Victoria.
Hill is contracted to Fremantle until the end of 2021, but via his management has made the Dockers and Victorian clubs aware he wanted to follow his partner back to Melbourne.

Hill's form in 2019 would be worthy of All Australian selection.
St Kilda is best positioned to offer Hill the most lucrative contract.
Melbourne and Carlton are also believed to be considering making significant offers.

The Saints are open to trading out their first pick in the NAB AFL National Draft, an option which would appeal to the Dockers and be a fair starting point to begin talks about such a transaction around Hill.
Adelaide midfielder Brad Crouch, who is contracted for 2020, has also attracted interest from the Saints.
