Indicative draft order: Dons and Dogs locked in, Giants' double win
The draft picks for Essendon, the Western Bulldogs and the clubs who hold picks tied to those two clubs have been locked in
IT'S BEEN a good first weekend of the finals for Greater Western Sydney.
Firstly - and most importantly - the Giants crushed the Bulldogs in their elimination final to move into a semi-final against the Lions in Brisbane next weekend.
However, GWS' post-season stocks also enjoyed a boost with Essendon's loss to West Coast on Thursday night. The Bombers will finish eighth but the Giants have Essendon's first-round draft pick, currently No.11, courtesy of the Dylan Shiel trade from last year.
The Giants hold picks 11 and 13 after the first week of the finals but the second of those picks could still fall further down the order depending on the results to come in September.
