IN AN all too common occurrence, the rookies showed a few of the premiums how it is done this week, while patience was also rewarded with Michael Barlow bouncing back from consecutive Presti nominations to score 110.

Possible suspensions to Fantasy’s best midfielder Jordan Lewis and best defender Luke Hodge look set to dominate the focus of our moves this week. Hopefully the first release of dual position additions during the week will assist us with our decisions.

Fantasy Pig

After his lowest score of the year, it seems a weird time to award Jordan Lewis a Pig nomination on the back of his 117, especially considering he was averaging 140 leading into the round. However, after a disappointing first half where he had just 23 points, many coaches who selected him captain were drafting their resignations. Enter the Pig. Lewis went nuts in the second half, scoring 45 in the third quarter and topping that with 48 points in the last to demonstrate the outstanding tendencies of previously crowned Pigs Swanny and Rocky.

Fantasy Prestigacomo

When coaches discuss the ruck department and who will be the top two at the end of the season, there are a trio of players that make up the 'big three'. Out of the three, there was one that didn't pull his weight this week, recording a score that was well below expectation. Therefore, this week's Presti goes to the usually reliable Sam Jacobs, who could only manage a score of 62, compared to 88 from Todd Goldstein and 116 from Stefan Martin. And Brodie Grundy also put up 116 to put his name in the mix to make it a potential 'big four' come the end of the season.

Junior Swine

After copping a vest last week, The Ox (Adam Oxley) went over and above anything we could have hoped from a basement priced player, especially a defender. He was outstanding with 26 touches and 11 marks for a whopping score of 136 to become the most deserving Piglet nominee for the year, a feat I thought would not be possible after Patrick Cripp's nomination last week.

Fantasy mailbag

He looks great! Mature age and has to be on the radar for coaches on the lookout for a midfield downgrade. The ball magnet had an impressive 96 on debut.
