BRISBANE'S year just keeps getting better, with the club recording its first profit since 2007.
On a landmark day for the club, the Lions announced a profit of $648,618 for the year ending October 31, riding the wave of their first finals appearance in a decade.
Brisbane's remarkable on-field rise resulted in a 15 per cent increase in membership and 34 per cent increase in home attendances.

In all, more than 270,000 people attended Lions games at the Gabba in 2019.
This included the 37,478 spectators that attended the qualifying final loss to Richmond, which was a record crowd at the Gabba for an AFL match.
The result will slowly start to erode a debt that is believed to be in excess of $12 million.

Brisbane is in a good position to continue its financial resurrection, with two Thursday night and two Friday night home fixtures in 2020 a great platform to attract spectators and sponsors.
The club is also working on its new training and administration facility at Springfield, which was financially secured this year following funding from state and federal governments.
