FOLLOWING its straight-sets finals exit, Brisbane is hungrier than ever and training with a real chip on its shoulder, says wrecking-ball midfielder Mitch Robinson.
The Lions were one of 2019's huge success stories, jumping from 15th the previous year to second and two home finals before bowing out with losses to Richmond and Greater Western Sydney.

On its first day of training following the Christmas break, Robinson said internal competition was driving Chris Fagan's men to be even better in 2020.
"Although we had a good year we didn't get what we wanted out of it towards the end," Robinson said.
"There's a lot of hunger in the boys, we've got that little chip on our shoulder.

"Everyone's come back hungry and the competition internally is right up there.
"We got a bunch of new recruits that came in that are really good players, who have been pushing the other boys for positions.
DECADE'S BEST MIDFIELDERS The most prolific player revealed
"If you start thinking you had a good year last year, then they'll go past you."
Those players Robinson refers to are Callum Ah Chee, Cam Ellis-Yolmen and Grant Birchall, all recruited to fill specific needs at the Lions.
For the fourth straight pre-season, Brisbane will head to Tasmania next Friday – returning to Hobart for a second successive year - for an eight-day training camp where match simulation will ramp up and a pecking order begin to be sorted.
It's also a chance for Robinson, fresh from arguably his best season in the AFL, to return home.
DECADE'S BEST FORWARDS It's not just all about Buddy
He'll be doing so sporting a new hairdo, going peroxide blonde as part of a fundraising venture he undertook for victims of the bushfires.
The 30-year-old completed a 24-hour livestream on gaming platform Twitch, raising $15,000 in conjunction with his brother.
What are his teammates calling Robinson with his new hairstyle?
"Eminem has been the big one," he laughed.
"A lot of the boys are calling me (recently delisted Lion) Nick Robertson. They reckon he's coming back somehow. Slim Shady is the biggest one though.
"They can't tease me too much because it's for charity."
