CARLTON will consider offering an AFL lifeline to former Richmond player Callum Moore, with the forward one of three players set to do battle for the last place on the club's list ahead of the 2020 season.
AFL.com.au understands Moore will begin training with the Blues at Ikon Park this Saturday in the hope of earning a second chance on a list as a pre-season supplemental selection period (SSP) signing, just four months after he was delisted by the Tigers.
As reported last week, Carlton will also trial Vic Metro and Northern Knights defender Ryan Sturgess ahead of its opening Marsh Community Series match on February 29 after the youngster missed out on being recruited during the national and rookie drafts.
Former Western Bulldogs player Lukas Webb is also still trialling with the club, having been invited to train with the senior group in November.

Moore, 23, played eight games across four years with Richmond after he was recruited to Punt Road as a rookie selection.
However, despite featuring in its VFL team that claimed the premiership last season, the 193cm forward couldn't manage a senior game in 2019 after battling an ankle injury throughout the campaign.
The Blues have a spot available in their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign after placing first-round draft pick Brodie Kemp on the long-term injury list.
Kemp, a versatile 193cm prospect who was recruited to the club with pick No.17 last year, is recovering from an ACL injury suffered last July.
Carlton is currently light on depth in the forward line, with star goalkicker Charlie Curnow not expected to feature throughout the first half of the season after suffering dual knee injuries this summer.
Fellow big man Harry McKay is also still part of the rehab group due to ongoing groin issues, while Mitch McGovern is on a modified program as he builds his loads ahead of round one.
FULL FIXTURE Every round, every game
Clubs are eligible to sign players under the SSP rule until March 13. They are also able to leave spots available on their list ahead of the NAB AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft, which is expected to fall after round 11.
