The Role
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented individual to join the League and lead Community Football’s operations team as it delivers on the strategic direction of the Community Football Board.
This position requires a strong emphasis on building positive relationships and networks within Community Football and delivering sustainable programs and services to Leagues and Clubs around South Australia. The manager will also focus on driving the financial capabilities of Community Football to support the growth of Australian Football at grass roots level.
The Candidate
It is expected that candidates will demonstrate a successful leadership and management background delivering effective services to members or stakeholders.
Key selection criteria also requires:
- Understanding of and empathy with the issues confronting Community Football, is essential
- Sound knowledge of and experience within the Australian Football industry
- Strategic planning and implementation capability
- Effective overall stakeholder engagement with strong communication and management skills
- Able to lead, influence and manage partnerships
- Demonstrated understanding of marketing and sponsorship principles and funding / grants submissions
- Business management degree or relevant tertiary qualification
