DAVID Hale has been playing football for a long time, but he was left scratching his head after experiencing his first-ever draw on Sunday.
“What are supposed to feel?” Hale replied when quizzed on his overriding emotion following the draw with the Sydney Swans at Telstra Dome.
“I’ve never played in a draw before so I’m not really sure. It is a bit of a strange feeling.
“They’re a good team and two points is better than none I guess. The competition is so even that they might come in handy down the track.”

“We started a bit slowly and ground our way to the front I suppose, but they just kept coming.”
The Roos lost Aaron Edwards to a broken leg just before half-time, but looked to have done enough when they battled back from 20 points down in the second quarter to hold a 17-point lead early in the last.

“When Edwards went down it left us one short in our rotations and obviously that takes a bit of a toll in the end. We were out on our feet and the rest is history.”
Hale had 12 possessions, 18 hitouts and kicked two goals on the day and felt his confidence returning after an injury lay-off.
“I missed against
“Obviously we came here to win and to come away with a draw is a hollow feeling.
“We would have liked the four points, but we’ll just have to settle for the two.”
