The popular holiday destination is a bronze partner of the Bulldogs and has been developing links with the club since 2003.
The sponsorship is part of the local tourism marketing strategy to promote awareness in key Victorian markets about experiences and business development opportunities in Caloundra.
Bulldogs Jason Akermanis and Sam Reid are from the area, with the former spending time there as a youngster and the latter having played for the Caloundra Football Club.
Akermanis said his memories of the region were all positive.
"It's a lovely part of the world up there," he recalled.
"We used to holiday up there all the time. I'm sure I'll be visiting there a number of times when I retire as the weather is beautiful up there.
"I went and did my bronze medallion course there when I was 14, and I was chasing a girl there as well.
"At the time, they didn't give me my actual bronze medallion but when I went up there last year, the guy had kept it for me and framed it and I've got it at home. It was hilarious all those years later.
"It's just a memory now, but I finally got it all those years later from when I did it at the Kings Beach Surf Club. It's a good memory, and Caloundra is a terrific place to visit."
Caloundra Tourism president Mike Wilkinson said the sponsorship was an exciting continuation of the relationship between the region and the Bulldogs.
"Caloundra Tourism has again agreed to support this alliance in 2009 and we look forward to the continuation of successful marketing opportunities that have included promotions through Western Bulldogs' publications, website and advertising at Telstra Dome," Wilkinson said.
"The Western Bulldogs have a strong membership base and enjoyed a terrific season last year, and we feel this is a very cost-effective investment into an interstate market."
