It's the question on everyone's lips; has Hamish McIntosh done enough in the VFL to earn a promotion into the senior side to take on Carlton on Friday night?

One thing is for sure, he's now played enough games and has proved his fitness. It seems form and team balance are the only things that could keep the North big-man out of the final 22.

Brad Scott recently indicated the coaching panel would be having a very close look at the 203 centimetre giant on Sunday as he played with Werribee. McIntosh worked hard in the ruck throughout the afternoon against Will Minson from Williamstown and collected 19 possessions, seven marks and 17 hit-outs in the 13-point loss.

With Carlton boasting a strong ruck duo in Robert Warnock and Matthew Kreuzer, the North Melbourne match committee must decide whether to include McIntosh to give Todd Goldstein some support, or continue to use Drew Petrie and Cam Pedersen as pinch-hitters at stoppages.

McIntosh's best-mate Nathan Grima is set to be considered also after being named in the best players for the Tigers. Kangaroos' development coach John Lamont said Grima was, 'very solid in defence' with 17 touches and five spoils.

Ben McKinley also played well and had two goals along with 16 disposals and six marks while Gavin Urquhart chipped in with 23 possessions.

Majak Daw and Ben Ross were kept quiet with six and nine disposals respectively.

Werribee coach Paul Satterley's comments:
Gavin Urquhart - "Was one player up and about early when the side was playing poorly...starting to improve week by week."

Hamish McIntosh - "Very quiet first half, but he ignited the team’s fightback with a terrific second half (16 disposals & six marks)."

Nathan Grima - "Totally negated Mitch Hahn keeping him to six possessions. One of our better players all day."

Ben McKinley - "Was a solid contribution although his disposal let him down at times."

Ben Ross - "After a few weeks of consistent footy, Rossy dropped off this week with just the nine disposals."

Majak Daw - "Limited impact on the game. Kicked a good goal."
