A DECISION on Campbell Brown's future appears imminent with the Gold Coast Suns deliberating the altercation that resulted in a broken jaw for teammate Steven May.

A detailed investigation led by CEO Travis Auld and football manager Marcus Ashcroft is still ongoing and will be finalised by week's end at the latest.

It could be as soon as Tuesday night.

Auld and Ashcroft will deliver their findings to chairman John Witheriff and fellow board member Bob East, who will decide Brown's fate.

Brown is currently suspended from the club until its findings.

The 30-year-old forward was recently granted a one-year contract after a superb 2013 season that netted him 23 goals from 13 games.

May underwent surgery on Saturday, having two plates inserted in the broken jaw, and is expected to resume training in two weeks.
