A Melbourne magistrate convicted Nixon of assaulting his former fiancée Tegan Gould after he pleaded guilty.
Nixon has been issued with a two-year community corrections order. He'll be required to do 200 hours of unpaid community work and receive psychiatric and alcohol counselling.
He was spared jail time partly due to pleading guilty.
The AFL Players' Association confirmed the 49-year-old is eligible to re-apply for his license to manage players.
While confirming Nixon's ban was over, the AFLPA said he would need to sit an exam in June or July this year if he wanted to re-apply, the same as any other applicant.
An AFLPA spokesperson told AFL.com.au it wasn't aware of any contact from Nixon.
Nixon is for now still focused on his comedy career, and isn't yet considering a return as an agent.
"I'm just hoping to get my car licence back mate, the way I'm going," Nixon quipped to Channel 10.
The former agent to stars including Wayne Carey and Nick Riewoldt was banned from player management in 2011 after getting caught up in the infamous 'St Kilda school girl scandal.'
