ST KILDA captain Nick Riewoldt has admitted he is frustrated by the Saints' struggles at the bottom of the ladder, but chasing a premiership at a new club in 2015 is not on his radar.
Riewoldt was responding to suggestions from former Essendon champion Matthew Lloyd that he should seek a move to a flag contender next season where he could be the final piece in a premiership puzzle.
The 31-year-old said he went through that process at the end of last season, when Collingwood made a bold bid to sign the four-time All Australian, and moving now was not a consideration.
He is contracted to St Kilda until the end of the 2015 season.
"In my situation I would say to what end would I be leaving the Saints for?" Riewoldt told Sportsday Radio on Tuesday night.
"Obviously we all play footy for premierships and I have played in a team that was really, really close and we’re clearly a way off at the moment.
"But the only reason you would leave is if you had that guarantee and it's just too hard to find in footy.
"What I would lose out on and the heartache it would cause me to leave St Kilda - a club that I love and have given my everything for - it's really not on my radar."
Riewoldt said he was "clearly" frustrated by the Saints' form in 2014, having won just three games to sit on the bottom of the ladder with a percentage of 59.3.
However, he said his expectations on performance would not change, which was leading to frustration on game day.
"I'm not going to drop my standards because of where we're at as a team and having young players," he said.
"I'm still going to hold everyone and myself to the same high standards I always have."
Riewoldt, who has kicked 33 goals in a fine season so far, said his body was holding up well as he manages a troublesome knee that he has previously said would ultimately determine when he retires.
"The middle of the season, it starts to get a lot colder and that tends to make it a bit more difficult to recover each week," he said.
"I'm in the water most nights, just get in and give the muscles a good soak in the ocean and just try and hang on now for the end of the year."
