CARLTON utility Andrew Walker remains set to leave the Blues, with a number of clubs attempting to trade for him.

In recent weeks, Walker has been strongly linked with both Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs.

"Andrew's in a unique situation because he's contracted," Walker's manager Tom Petroro told Trade Week Radio on afl.com.au. "I guess the club holds the cards a little bit. They need to get what they want out of a deal.

"In saying that, we've got a number of clubs interested in Andrew and I'm confident we'll get something done by 2pm on Monday [the trade week deadline].

"I'm still confident Carlton will be fair and reasonable. I think we've seen some agents take clubs to mediation in the last two years, but I don't think we'll have to do that to sort out Andrew's situation."

Walker, 24, has played 103 games for the Blues since he was recruited with pick two in the 2003 national draft.

But he has struggled with injuries in recent seasons and now it looks like the Crows are the hot favourites to win his services.

"The difficulty there is that [Carlton ruckman] Sam Jacobs is involved there as well," Petroro added. "I don't think clubs ever want to lose two players to one rival club. That doesn't make it easy.

"But the Bulldogs have some interest as well, so it doesn't necessarily mean we only have to deal with Adelaide.

"In saying that, Andrew went to Adelaide a couple of weeks ago and is quite interested in what they have to offer."

Another of Petroro's clients, Carlton midfielder Shaun Grigg, remains hopeful he can join Richmond.

"Shaun's at a stage where he's had four years in the system … but hasn't been able to get the continuity of games at Carlton.

"He's looking to go to greener pastures to get more game time.

"It's obviously quite public that Richmond are interested. I think Shaun could certainly give them some polish in their midfield and probably relieve a little bit of the workload guys like Nathan Foley and Brett Deledio have been carrying in the middle."
