Lance Franklin – 2
The Swans superstar was comprehensively beaten by Phil Davis. Franklin couldn't get into the contest, finishing with just eight disposals and kicking 0.1. Looked to be hampered by the groin injury that forced him to miss the round 23 loss to Hawthorn, and played predominantly close to goals late in the game.

Heath Grundy – 6
The veteran defender, who recently signed a contract extension for 2019, battled valiantly the entire game under immense stress from the great delivery from the Giants midfielders. Had 15 disposals and seven marks, with four of those marks contested.
Dan Hannebery – 7
Ran hard the entire game as the Swans were over-run by the classy Giants in the midfield. Found plenty of the ball with 24 disposals, 10 of those contested, to go with eight marks and five clearances.
BUDDY NOT ENOUGH Swans need more ways to score
Will Hayward – 3
A difficult game for the exciting 19-year-old forward playing in his first final. Not helped by the lack of delivery into the Swans' forward line, finishing with just the eight disposals and didn't have a shot at goal.
Isaac Heeney – 6
Started forward and took a while before he started to have an impact on the game. Finished with 20 disposals, including 11 contested, to go with five Inside 50s.
SWAN DIVE Five things we learned
George Hewett – 6
Did a solid tagging role on Giants midfielder Dylan Shiel before Shiel got on top in the second half. Hewett amassed 17 disposals himself and was incredibly efficient, going at 94.1 per cent.
Kieren Jack – 4
A quiet game from the veteran, who had just the 15 disposals at 53.3 per cent efficiency. Struggled to get into the contest and only played 65 per cent of game time.
Zak Jones – 4
The Swans hard nut had the unenviable defensive job on Giants livewire Toby Greene. It was always going to be a tough ask, and Greene was close to best on ground. Jones had 17 disposals.

Josh Kennedy – 8
The Swans skipper can hold his head high with another tireless performance. Led his team with 27 disposals, including 10 contested possessions, to go with five clearances. Battled hard despite the Giants' midfield running riot.
Jake Lloyd – 6
Had a solid game in defence, finishing with 17 disposals at 82.4 per cent efficiency. Also had seven rebound 50s and nine marks.
Tom McCartin – 2
A tough finals initiation for the youngest player in the AFL. The 18-year-old didn't have a disposal in the first half, and finished the game with just three touches. Has had a promising debut season and will be better for the experience.
Jarrad McVeigh – 5
A solid game for the veteran defender, who had 14 disposals, five marks and three clearances. Played his role, but the Swans defence was under siege with the constant pressure from the Giants' midfield.
Nic Newman – 5
Another of the Swans defenders who tried their best, but couldn't have a major impact such was the ball supply from the Giants' midfielders. Had 15 disposals and five rebound 50s.
Tom Papley – 7
The most dangerous of the Swans forwards. Papley kicked 2.2 including a brilliant goal to keep his side within striking distance. Finished with 17 disposals and four clearances.

Had the better of key Giants forward Jeremy Cameron for most of the game until the last quarter. Also found plenty of the ball himself, finishing with 17 disposals and five rebound 50s. Can hold his head high.
Daniel Robinson – 5
Didn't have much of an impact in his ninth game of the season and 25th of his career across half-back. The 24-year-old had 14 disposals and eight marks.
Ben Ronke – 4
The 20-year-old rookie sensation kicked the first goal of the game, but was quiet from then on. Didn't add to his tally and had just 10 disposals.
Callum Sinclair – 6
Shared the ruck honours with Rory Lobb in a pretty even contest. Had the 33 hit-outs to Lobb's 37. Sinclair also had eight disposals, the same as Lobb.
