SHATTERED Gold Coast star Tom Lynch has predicted home truths will be told this week as the Suns try to regroup after their 120-point loss to Geelong.

The key forward kicked two first-quarter goals but was forced into the middle for centre bounces at the start of the last quarter after being starved of opportunities.

He told AFL.com.au the Suns did not turn up ready to take on Geelong and the leaders needed to find out why.

"We didn't have enough blokes turn up to play. We only had two or three that could say they had a real crack," Lynch said.

Lynch, who leads the Coleman Medal after six rounds with 24 goals, said the Suns started reasonably well, but could not arrest momentum once Geelong got a run on.

"We didn't dig in enough and didn't fight through it enough," Lynch said.

Although depleted with injury, Lynch said the team had been looking forward to the challenge of taking on the Cats at Simonds Stadium and there were no excuses.

"We thought we had 22 to go out and win the game and play good hard competitive footy…22 didn't turn up and it doesn't matter who you have out there if you don't turn up and play," Lynch said.

Gold Coast has lost its past three games to the Brisbane Lions, North Melbourne and now Geelong after winning its first three games against Essendon, Fremantle and Carlton.

The Suns play Melbourne at Metricon Stadium next Saturday.

Lynch said it was imperative they returned to the winner's list.

"We have to turn the year around and get back on the horse," Lynch said.
