THE Port Adelaide Football Club has released a new look membership structure based on unprecedented research and the feedback of its supporters.

Members will begin receiving their renewal letters from today and will notice a structure that simplifies membership with the PAFC while still providing great value for money, and rewards for loyal supporters.

Chief Executive, Mark Haysman said the club’s new membership structure was the culmination of an exhaustive review process and represented the most significant improvements to its membership structure made since joining the AFL.

“We’ve combined some cutting edge research and development with good old fashioned supporter feedback to come up with a fantastic new product range,” Haysman said.

“Our supporters wanted a simpler system and that’s what we’ve delivered.”

The Power’s membership department began surveying members during the 2007 season before having the results analysed by Dr Heath McDonald at Deakin University using a system called Choice Modelling.

Choice Modelling has recently been used by QANTAS as it sought to provide maximum comfort and service to patrons on its new A380 aircraft.

“We’ve used that technology to transform the data we collected from members into a range of membership products that give them exactly what they want,” Haysman said.

“In 2009 our most loyal and passionate supporters will get one membership card, have guaranteed access to a Grand Final ticket should we qualify and can sit where they want at AAMI Stadium.”

The changes have been made with affordability a key driver. Adult membership is less than $1 a day, with Platinum Membership prices reduced from last year’s $425 to $360 in 2009 (with an undercover reserved seat).

Family packages enable three kids to go for free, while part payments over 12 months are also offered this year.

With a new, simpler finals ticket priority system, existing anchor holders will be upgraded to Platinum status for the price of Gold.

Power fans will again enjoy free bus travel from throughout Adelaide to the games, courtesy the SA Lotteries Footy Express. The club has also worked with the SANFL to extend the alcohol consumption areas in 2009.
