GEELONG forward Steve Johnson has completed training on Friday and now seems likely to play in Saturday's Grand Final.
Johnson survived regular training and then undertook competitive drills with Taylor Hunt, News Limited reports said.
Later, Johnson appeared in the Grand Final parade and told Channel 7 he was 99 per cent certain he would play.
Johnson is a proven big-game performer, winning the 2007 Norm Smith Medal.
He is also considered Geelong's most dangerous forward and has the ability of creating goals from nothing.
This season Johnson has spent more time in the midfield and is fifth at the club for disposals. He has also kicked 46 goals, to be second on the club's goalkicking table, just six behind full-forward James Podsiadly. Johnson is also second at the club for marks.
With showers forecast for the Grand Final, Johnson's ability to conjure goals from limited opportunities will be crucial.
