Josh Gibson, Jason Winderlich among those to accept MRP sanctions
HAWTHORN defender Josh Gibson is free to play in Saturday's clash with St Kilda after the Match Review Panel reprimanded him for his late bump on Richmond's Reece Conca.
Gibson was one of seven players cited by the MRP after its review of round six and all accepted their penalties on Tuesday morning, meaning the Tribunal will not sit this week.
Along with Gibson, Collingwood's Clinton Young, Essendon's Jason Winderlich, Fremantle's Michael Johnson, Melbourne's Alex Georgiou, Western Bulldog Daniel Giansiracusa and Brisbane Lion Trent West were all offered reprimands or fines.
The incident involving Gibson and Conca on Sunday was assessed as negligent, medium impact and high contact.
Gibson was cited for charging and good record and an early guilty plea combined to leave him with a reprimand and 70.31 carryover points.
Young was charged with engaging in rough conduct after being booked for a high bump on Essendon's Paul Chapman.
The MRP graded the incident as negligent, low impact and high contact. Young's initial penalty was a one-match ban but he escapes with a reprimand by pleading guilty.
Winderlich was booked for rough conduct after a push and shove with Collingwood defender Nick Maxwell.
The incident was assessed as reckless, low impact and high contact.
Like Gibson, Winderlich was initially hit with a one-match suspension but he receives a discount for a good record and an early guilty plea, leaving him with 70.31 carryover points added to his record.

Giansiracusa was cited for an off-the-ball bump on Adelaide star Patrick Dangerfield.
The incident was assessed as reckless, low impact and body contact.
The veteran also benefited from a double-discount for a good record and an early guilty plea, leaving him with 70.31 points on his record.
