West Coast continues list overhaul, delisting two young defenders
WEST Coast has delisted young defenders Adam Carter and Blayne Wilson ahead of the NAB AFL draft.
The Eagles have now delisted four players, having already confirmed Ashley Smith and Jacob Brennan would not be contracted next season.
Wilson was recruited in the 2011 pre-season draft but did not make his senior debut with West Coast until last season. He played nine matches, including two in 2014.
Carter was drafted with pick No.59 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft. He played five matches in his first season under John Worsfold, but only got two chances in rounds 22 and 23 this season to play despite a consistent season with East Perth.
Eagles football manager Craig Vozzo told the club's website both players had left an impression on the playing group.
"Both Blayne and Adam are fine young men and have been valued members of our squad over the past few years," Vozzo said.
"We thank them for their efforts and wish them every success in the future."
The Eagles have made six changes to their senior list ahead of the draft with four players delisted and the retirements of Dean Cox and Darren Glass.
The club has already committed its last pick in the draft to father-son prospect Alec Waterman. The Eagles have also added former baseballer Corey Adamson and Irishman Paddy Brophy as category B rookies.
