Lance Franklin and Joel Selwood cleared by Match Review Panel
SYDNEY Swans star Lance Franklin and Geelong skipper Joel Selwood are both free to play this weekend despite coming under the scrutiny of the Match Review Panel.
Franklin's bump on Western Bulldogs midfielder Jack Macrae was looked at, but the panel decided that "Franklin’s actions were a legitimate attempt to tackle and were not a reportable action".

Selwood's altercation with Hawthorn’s Jarryd Roughead was also looked at.
The Cats star made brief contact with his arm to Roughead's throat after being tackled to the ground.
But the panel decided that "the force used in the high contact after the tackle was made was below that required to constitute a reportable offence".
The collision between Richmond's Nathan Gordon and St Kilda’s Cam Shenton from the third quarter of Sunday’s match at the MCG was another incident that attracted the MRP's attention.
Gordon was cleared of any wrongdoing, as were Carlton's Marc Murphy and Bryce Gibbs, whose contact with Port Adelaide's Travis Boak and Robbie Gray was looked at.
Melbourne's Nathan Jones was the only player offered a penalty after the review of round 22.
Jones accepted a $1950 fine for making negligent contact with an umpire, thereby ensuring the Tribunal would not be required to sit on Tuesday evening.
