Drew Petrie
GAMES: 267
GOALS: 352
SEASON TO DATE: Petrie has had an up and down season, but remains North Melbourne's go-to forward. The 31-year-old has kicked 43 goals from 23 games. His performance in North's elimination final was a pretty true reflection of his season. Blanketed by Cale Hooker in the first half, Petrie went all 'Frank the Tank' with two goals in two minutes to seal the Kangaroos' first finals win since 2007.
WEAPON: Petrie's overhead marking remains his key asset. As a 197cm big man, his reach and considerable bulk make it tough for defenders to get their spoil in.
WEAKNESS: As with most players who are entering the twilight period of their careers, Petrie's speed off the mark is not quite where it was once at. He doesn't get the same separation in marking contests and his ability to cover the ground has slightly diminished. - Ben Guthrie
Tom Hawkins
GAMES: 146
GOALS: 281
SEASON TO DATE: The power forward has had a tremendous year, which has earned him a spot in the 40-man All Australian squad. Having been hampered by a back problem last season, he has regained his agility, allowing him to pose a big threat in the air and on the ground.
WEAPON: His strength. Hawkins is rarely out-marked in one-on-one contests. His kicking has also improved out of sight in recent years.
WEAKNESS: Touch. Hawkins' dropped a number of marks that he should have taken against Hawthorn last weekend. - Adam McNicol
