The AFL wishes to advise of strong ticket sales for the top of the table Easter Monday clash between the Geelong Cats v Hawthorn at the MCG (April 21 at 3.20pm) and that while good seats are still available, fans and members are strongly advised to pre-purchase a reserved seat to avoid disappointment on the day.
Due to high demand, this match is a fully ticketed, reserved seat event so regardless of the type of ticket you wish to purchase – whether it’s a member upgrade or general public reserve ticket - all fans will be required to purchase a reserved seat for this game.
Given the high attendance for this match-up in previous years, the fact both teams are undefeated in 2014, the high number of Cats and Hawks members, and the strong level of sales for this match, fans and members are advised to pre-purchase their reserved seat as early as possible to avoid missing out and the possibility of queues at the gate.
The AFL and the two clubs are notifying fans and members well in advance that this is a reserved seat event so they can plan accordingly to secure an appropriate seat in the category they wish to sit in.
Anyone wishing to attend the match is required to purchase a reserved seat ticket through Ticketek - 131 849, www.ticketek.com.au (24 hours a day) or via an agency throughout the entire Easter period.
Members for both the Geelong Cats and Hawthorn (reciprocal match) will be required to upgrade to a seat from $8.50 to $29.00 for adults and $2.00 to $11.00 for juniors dependent upon category selected, and subject to availability.
General public will be able to purchase a ticket from $25.00 to $50.00 for adults, from $5.00 to $14.00 for juniors and from $50 for families (2 adults and 2 juniors) dependent upon category selected, and subject to availability.
