The Eagles performed two blocks of 20-minute full match practice at their open training session at Patersons Stadium.
Naitanui, Wellingham, and recruit Xavier Ellis sat out the first session as coach Adam Simpson watched proceedings from the coach's box.
Will Schofield took part after missing training last week due to a hamstring strain.
Draftee Dom Sheed ran through the midfield and looked comfortable and composed with ball in hand, while Luke Shuey looked sharp, collecting plenty of possessions breaking out of the centre square.
The players then broke into line-practice and ball movement drills before reassembling for the second match practice session. Schofield sat out but Naitanui, Wellingham, and Ellis all went at full tilt.
Naitanui was a presence up forward and in the centre square and did not appear inhibited by his previous groin issues, while Wellingham moved smoothly through the midfield having recovered from a bone stress hot spot in his shin.
Beau Waters didn't train. The veteran will see a specialist later this week to decide on the best course of action for his troubled shoulder, which continues to cause him discomfort after surgery last year.
The Eagles will also decide on their leadership group this week. Darren Glass has been captain for the past six seasons and has stated that he is prepared to either continue as captain or step aside depending on what is best for the club.
Waters is the current vice-captain but his shoulder issues may see him absent from the field during the early part of the season.
It is understood the Eagles are considering a leadership group of just five players, having had a group of 10 last season.
