NORTH Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein had scans on his knee on Tuesday morning, but the club is adamant the results have come back all clear.
Goldstein copped a knock to his knee in the first half of Saturday's clash with Greater Western Sydney in Canberra, forcing him to limp from the field in discomfort.
He played out the game but North decided to send him for a precautionary scan on Tuesday to ensure there was no further damage.
The club is confident Goldstein will be available for Sunday's game against the Western Bulldogs.
The 26-year-old, who signed a two-year contract to remain with the Roos earlier this season, looms as a key figure in North's 2014 finals campaign.
Goldstein has played every game in 2014, averaging 90.8 per cent game time in matches this season (third at the club).
That is the second-highest percentage of any ruckman in the AFL, behind Western Bulldogs ruckman Will Minson (90.9 per cent).
Goldstein attends 74 ruck contests per game, which places him sixth in the competition and is ranked equal fifth in the competition for hit-outs per game (33.8) this year.
North's tall stocks have been thin for much of this season, and Majak Daw's season-ending foot injury places even greater strain on Goldstein.
Young big man Ben Brown gave Goldstein a chop out in the ruck against the Giants, while backup ruckman Daniel Currie has not played since round five and has only just got back to playing in the VFL after a significant lay-off with a shoulder injury.
