POTENTIAL Collingwood father-son draftee Darcy Moore confirmed his ranking as a high-end draft choice, inspiring Vic Metro with four goals in its 58-point drubbing of Western Australia at Simonds Stadium on Friday.

The 199cm Oakleigh Charger, son of former Pies captain and dual Brownlow medallist Peter, starred in Metro's 16.10 (106) to 7.6 (48) round five win of the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships division one competition.

It was Metro's third win from five starts, while Western Australia remains winless after five matches.

Moore proved he can be a valuable commodity up forward, collecting 16 possessions (12 contested), four inside-50s and having six score involvements.

Midfielder Paul Ahern, who stands at 181cm, was in the thick of the action all day, showing off his electrifying pace and class across half-forward, working into the space extremely well to finish the match with 22 disposals, six inside-50s and three majors.

Sandringham Dragons midfielder Angus Brayshaw stamped his authority on the match with 23 touches (eight contested), five clearances, six inside-50s and one goal, as well as amassing a staggering 690 metres gained.

Another player who further enhanced his draft prospects was Damien Cavka, whose strong work rate, endurance and capacity to apply enormous defensive pressure was evident throughout the game, amassing 21 disposals and five inside-50s.

Big man and potential No. 1 pick Peter Wright confirmed his sublime talents, dominating the ruck duels in the first half with 20 hit-outs before pushing forward in the second half.

Christian Petracca maintained his rich vein of form, showing attributes of a ready-made AFL footballer. The midfielder-forward exploded in the second half, gathering a game-high 24 touches rolling through the middle.

Petracca's decision-making and skill execution was on display all game – particularly when performed under pressure – as was his capacity to win the contested ball.

For Western Australia, Alec Waterman, son of dual premiership West Coast Eagle Chris, was among his side's best with a team-high 18 touches, while Aiden Anderson impressed with three goals.

The WA defenders were kept on their toes all afternoon, but also performed their roles with composure in patches, taking several well-timed marks and offering strong rebound from defensive 50.

Dylan Winton stood tall under constant pressure, collecting 15 touches from 11 kicks.

Other major ball winners were Ryan Lim and Brad Walsh with 17 possessions apiece, while Jarrod Garlett looked dangerous in patches with 12 kicks and one goal.
