AFL Tribunal, 5pm, Tuesday May 6:

Jack Viney, Melbourne, has been charged with Engaging in Rough Conduct against Tom Lynch, Adelaide Crows, during the first quarter of the Round Seven match between Melboure and the Adelaide Crows played at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday May 3, 2014.   

In summary, the matter has been directly referred to the Tribunal for its determination and he cannot accept an early plea on this matter. 

Brett Deledio, Richmond, has been charged with a Level Three Striking Offence (225 demerit points, two-match sanction) for striking Matthew Stokes, Geelong Cats, during the second quarter of the Round Seven match between Richmond and the Geelong Cats, played at the MCG on Sunday May 4, 2014.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Geelong Cats Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Three Offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction. He has an existing six-year good record, reducing the penalty by 25 per cent 168.75 points and a one-match sanction.

Sanctions Accepted:

Luke McGuane, Brisbane Lions, has accepted a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record for striking Jeremy Laidler, Sydney Swans, during the first quarter of the Round Seven match between the Brisbane Lions and the Sydney Swans, played at the Gabba on Saturday May 3, 2014.

Matthew Stokes, Geelong Cats, has accepted a one-match sanction for striking Richmond’s Steven Morris during the second quarter of the Round Seven match between the Geelong Cats and Richmond, played at the MCG on Sunday May 4, 2014.

David Mundy, Fremantle, has accepted a reprimand and 70.31 points towards his future record for engaging in rough conduct against Scott Selwood, West Coast, during the third quarter of the Round Seven match between Fremantle and West Coast, played at Patersons Stadium on Sunday May 14, 2014.
