Star Saint faces one-match ban while St Kilda-Dons melee proves costly
ST KILDA forward Stephen Milne, Richmond defender Steven Morris, Melbourne midfielder Neville Jetta and Brisbane Lions playmaker Pearce Hanley are all facing suspensions after the Match Review Panel scrutinised round four.
Five St Kilda and three Essendon players have also copped fines totalling $17,700 for their involvement in the melee that broke out at half-time of their clash at Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.
But the match-day report laid against North Melbourne forward Drew Petrie was thrown out, leaving him clear to line up in Sunday's big clash against Hawthorn.
Milne has been offered a one-match ban after being hit with a misconduct charge for gouging the face of Bomber Courtenay Dempsey during the final quarter.
The MRP found the contact made by Milne on Dempsey was reckless, of low impact and to the head.
The initial penalty was a two-match ban, but Milne can have it reduced to one game if he pleads guilty.
Milne now faces the prospect of missing St Kilda's historic clash with the Sydney Swans in New Zealand on Thursday.
Morris is likely to miss Richmond's trip to Perth to play Fremantle on Friday night after being cited for a high bump on Collingwood's Jamie Elliott.
Like Milne, the Tigers defender can have his sanction reduced from two matches to one if he pleads guilty.
Jetta was booked for a high bump on Greater Western Sydney midfielder Lachie Whitfield during the third quarter of the Demons' win over the Giants on Sunday.
Jetta's bad record means his initial sanction was a three-match suspension, but he can have the penalty reduced to two games if he pleads guilty.
Hanley can accept a one-match suspension after he was booked for striking North Melbourne's Lindsay Thomas during the third quarter of the Lions' big loss to the Kangaroos at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Hanley's teammate Jack Redden can accept a reprimand after he was cited for a front-on bump on North Melbourne midfielder Ben Cunnington.
Adelaide's Scott Thompson can also accept a reprimand after he was booked for engaging in rough conduct against Western Bulldogs defender Brett Goodes.
