MICHAEL Voss is no clearer on his future despite the Brisbane Lions' remarkable mid-season rally.

Voss is out of contract at the end of the season, and after a terrible start the Lions are suddenly a mathematical chance of making the top eight.

The Lions coach – and board – have held a firm line all year that they will decide Voss future at season's end.

Voss was not deviating after Saturday night's come-from-behind win over North Melbourne moved them within two wins of the top eight.

"My position hasn't changed now, as it hasn't changed from eight weeks ago," Voss said.

"It will be dealt with at the right time. I don't have a feeling either way towards that, like I didn't eight weeks ago."

The Lions have won three of their past four matches, including stirring comeback wins over Geelong, from 52 points down, and the Kangaroos, from 33 down, at the Gabba.

Voss said it was ridiculous to suggest they could make the finals despite a friendly run home that starts with a match against Melbourne in Darwin on Saturday night.

"I don't even know how you can possibly justify even remotely thinking about it, talking about it, even entertaining the idea," he said.
"We've had our first back-to-back wins this year.

"To suggest that talking about that is a little bit ahead (of ourselves) is a dramatic understatement."

Brent Moloney (calf) and Simon Black (groin) missed the win over North Melbourne and will need to prove their fitness in Wednesday's main training session to be considered to play the Demons.
