STEWART Crameri is likely to wait to the end of the season before deciding on his future, with a two-year deal on offer from the Bombers.

With the ASADA report handed to the Bombers just days ago, contract negotiations with the explosive forward have not gathered speed.

Crameri has recently stated his preference is to stay at Essendon, where he is on track to being the leading goalkicker for a third consecutive season.

But as revealed by AFL.com.au in June, the Western Bulldogs have tabled a long-term lucrative deal for Crameri which exceeds the Bombers' offer in length and remuneration.

Although the investigation has created uncertainty about the Bombers, the club is confident it will retain Crameri.

Essendon is also in the process of re-signing talented ruckman Tom Bellchambers.

The pair is among a large group of Bombers who remain out of contract at the end of this season, including Cale Hooker, Tayte Pears, Jason Winderlich, Scott Gumbleton, Jake Melksham and Travis Colyer.

Bellchambers recently told AFL.com.au he was hopeful a deal would be done "sooner rather than later".

A month ago, Bombers coach James Hird said the club was hopeful of a quick resolution with the contracts.

"We've got three or four players who are very good players we're still trying to get re-signed and I'm sure that will happen very shortly," Hird said in July.

Essendon recently announced two-year deals for emerging trio Jackson Merrett, Elliott Kavanagh and Mark Baguley in June, while captain Jobe Watson signed a four-year extension in May.

Young stars Dyson Heppell and Jake Carlisle are others to have committed to the club beyond 2013 this season.
