Reporting to the Senior Coach, you will be responsible for:
- Individual player development to ensure they have a clear understanding of their role in executing team structures;
- Working with the Director of Coaching for personal development and coordinated Club coaching philosophy purposes;
- Educating, implementing and reviewing team structures;
- Devising specific training drills to address development areas in consultation with Senior Coach and other assistants;
- Seeking best practice and innovation in teaching and learning methods;
- Conducting training and presentations as required by Senior Coach;
- Preparation and oversight of the training schedule;
- Effectively planning and implementation of structured programs for the playing group;
- Motivating the playing group to achieve maximum potential; and
- Opposition analysis at VFL and AFL level.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Relevant qualifications and certifications;
- Knowledge of AFL football structure;
- Ability to work in a team environment;
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively;
- Competency in the Microsoft Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; and
- Capable of working a wide array of hours with a varying time schedule to suit the seasonal priorities of the football industry.
