Eagles Bradd Dalziell and Cale Morton both delisted
WEST Coast midfielders Bradd Dalziell and Cale Morton have been delisted just a week out from the start of pre-season.
Dalziell played 17 matches in 2013, after just 11 in his previous three at the Eagles. He averaged 16 disposals and kicked 15 goals in his best season at AFL level.
Dalziell was traded to West Coast in exchange for Brent Staker and pick No.39 (Sam Grimley) after playing 15 matches for the Brisbane Lions in 2008-09, but has not had contract renewed for a seventh season under new coach Adam Simpson.
Morton managed just three games in 2013 after playing 73 matches with Melbourne.
The fourth pick in the 2007 NAB AFL draft struggled to break into the Eagles line-up having been traded from Melbourne for pick No.87 in 2012.
"This is the toughest part of the game, particularly when it involves quality people," Eagles football operations manager Craig Vozzo said in a club statement.
"Unfortunately, it is the nature of the game.
"Both Bradd and Cale have been valued contributors to the football club and we thank them for the role they have each played. They will always be welcome at the West Coast Eagles."
