That one-point Grand Final loss to West Coast is part of the motivation for co-captain Adam Goodes, although he admits September is "a long time away" and winning consecutive flags will be tough.
"Bloody oath it is, it's very hard to do. We found it hard to do in '06 - we got very close, but that's lots of years ago now," Goodes said.
"We're like any other club at this time of year, we're fit, we're healthy. Everyone else will tell you we're running PBs, getting stronger."
Midfielder Kieren Jack insisted the celebrations were now well over, and rejected any suggestion of a premiership hangover.
"We're just trying to get ourselves in the same state of mind that we were in this time last year – that was, we're hungry, we're on edge and we're ready to compete," Jack told AFL.com.au.
"There's been a bit of talk about that in the media, but as far as we're concerned it's back to business."
Jack said the off-season, basking in the glow of premiership glory, was like nothing else he had experienced.
"We had a good chance to celebrate and reminisce and look back," he said.
"(It was) very special, you grow up and you aspire to do these sort of things and for it actually happen it's almost surreal.
"(I have) certainly watched a lot of replays and a lot of highlights tapes of the grand final and even now you sort pinch yourself that you've been able to do it."
The Swans' NAB Cup campaign begins against the Giants and Blues at Blacktown on Sunday, February 24.
