CAMPBELL Brown could besent into early retirement after the 30-year-old allegedly left teammate StevenMay with a suspected fractured jaw in an incident after the club's highaltitude training camp in Arizona.
The Suns are reviewing theincident, which took place in Los Angeles at the completion of the club's18-day high-altitude camp and did not involve any other players.
May is expected to require surgery.
It was reported on 3AW that the incident occurred after a dispute over payment of a bill in a bar.
"Theclub is in the process of establishing exactly what happened and all otherrelevant facts, and is discussing the matter with the two players concerned whohave since returned to the Gold Coast ahead of their teammates," the Sunssaid in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
"The Gold Coast Suns areconsidering appropriate actions and will not make further comment at this stagein relation to the incident."
Brown played 159 games forHawthorn between 2002 and 2010 before joining the Suns as an uncontractedplayer and notching 46 games in three seasons.
He played his 200th game,against the Brisbane Lions, in round 15 last season.
Brown was amember of the Hawks' 2008 premiership side and an All Australian in 2007.

And it's not the first time Brown has found himself in trouble during a football trip, having been stripped of the Suns' vice-captaincy for an incident in Thailand in 2011.
Brown and then teammate Mav Weller – who escaped penalty – were involved in a verbal, then physical incident, on an end-of-season trip in September that year.
The pair got tangled up with an unknown third party on the island of Koh Phangan that ended in a physical altercation.
