The Lions had few elite Fantasy options in 2012, with Jack Redden the only player to average more than 95 (he averaged 103). That is because, quite simply, Michael Voss' team didn't win enough of the ball - the Lions ranked 14th in kicks per game and 13th in disposals per game. The problem started in the midfield, where they ranked 17th in clearances. This, in turn, meant limited opportunities for the forwards, with the Lions averaging 7.5 fewer inside 50s per game than their opposition. - Mark Macgugan
