St Kilda champion Lenny Hayes returned via the VFL for Sandringham on Saturday, playing just a half to finish with five disposals and one behind from limited game time.

Saints small forward Ahmed Saad nailed five majors and accumulated 17 touches for Sandringham, but despite his best efforts the Zebras fell to North Ballarat by 14 points.
